Malmö IP becomes the home for women's football in Malmö
In 2001, the women's team moved back to Malmö IP and matches in Damallsvenskan. The chairwoman was Birgitta Haglund, and Lena Videkull coached the team for the third year. Three heavy signings this year were Therese Sjögran, Malin Andersson and Hedvig Lindahl, the latter of whom made her debut in the Damallsvenskan premiere when regular goalkeeper Caroline Jönsson was injured. Just "Carre", but also Karolina Westberg, Maria Nilsson and Malin Gustafsson suffered injuries that kept them away from the football field for large parts of the year, which was a major setback for the team. In the spring, the anniversary book "De söta ljusblåa kickande kickorna. MFF DAM 30 år" was released. The book received the SISU Sports Educators' Cultural Scholarship (it was the first year that the prize was not shared between two winners) and the editorial team was able to travel to the National Sports Meeting in Gävle and receive it on site. The title refers to how women's football was described in the media when women's football took place in the association in the early 1970s. The highest audience figure for the year at home was 1064 spectators in the Skåne derby against Kristianstad/Wä. In the table, the team took big silverware, finishing this year in second place, eight points behind the league winners Umeå IK.

Ldb FC becomes FC Rosengård
In 2014, LdB FC Malmö merged with FC Rosengård and this year the club also became Swedish Champions, a table position that was actually finished with two rounds left in the season. It was then a full twelve points down to second place KIF Örebro. The biggest victory this season came in the Skåne derby against Vittsjö which FC Rosengård won 7–1. The chairman of the board was Håkan Wifvesson and Markus Tilly coached the team. The star-studded and richly national team-winning team included, among others, the star recruit Marta, who joined the team during the summer, Amanda Ilestedt, Therese Sjögran, Ali Riley, Sara Björk Gunnarsdóttir, Ramona Bachmann and Anja Mittag who also won the top scorer this year with 21 goals. Since the team had also won the Damallsvenskan in 2013, they played in the Champions League in the autumn of 2014. The round of 32 was won in both home and away matches against Russian Ryazan VDV and the round of 16 was played against Danish Fortuna Hjörring where they also won both matches. This qualified them for the quarter-finals, which were played in the spring of 2015.

New era with Crux Football
FC Rosengård is entering into a partnership and co-ownership together with Crux Football in a long-term effort to change the structures surrounding women's football. The approach is player-centered and one goal is to once again compete at the very top level in Europe. Legendary player Caroline Seger is appointed Head of Football.
